The senior led Marquette and the BIG EAST in scoring last week
NEW YORK—Marquette senior Natisha Hiedeman has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Hiedeman led Marquette and the BIG EAST with a stuffed stat line as she led No. 20 Marquette (12-3, 3-0) to a perfect week with wins over Creighton and No. 24 DePaul. The Green Bay, Wisconsin native averaged 24.0 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game. She tied a career best with 32 points against DePaul, the most for a BIG EAST player this season.
The Golden Eagles will take to the road for the first time in a month and travel to Villanova on Friday, Jan. 11 before finishing the weekend at Georgetown on Sunday, Jan. 13.
