The senior averaged 4.25 kills per set last week

NEW YORK- Marquette University volleyball senior Allie Barber has been selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll this week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Barber led Marquette to a 1-1 week last week as the Golden Eagles beat Providence in straight sets, while losing a tough match against No. 13 Creighton in five sets. The Golden Eagles are now ranked at No. 12, with Barber leading the BIG EAST, averaging 4.60 kills per set.

In the sweep over the Friars, Barber had a fantastic game, hitting at a .688 mark and tallying 11 kills without an error. In the five set match against Creighton, she had 23 kills. On the week, she hit .429 while averaging 4.25 kills.

Marquette will head to Pennsylvania to take on Villanova this Friday, Oct. 18 with first serve slated for 6 p.m. CT. MU will also face Georgetown the next day, at 4 p.m. CT.
