Tyler Leach is the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week

Leach earned his first collegiate victory on Tuesday at the Crooked Stick Invitational
NEW YORK – Marquette University men's golfer Tyler Leach was honored as the BIG EAST Conference Male Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.
The sophomore earned his first collegiate victory at the Crooked Stick Invitational in Carmel, Indiana on Tuesday with a 6-under 210 (68-68-74) to edge out Georgia's Calum Masters by a single stroke.
In addition to his first career win, Leach claimed the fourth top-10 finish of his career and finished under par for the third time. His previous 54-hole low score was a 211 (2-under), recorded at the Windon Memorial Classic at Conway Farms on Sept. 16-17.
Leach notched a tournament-best 3-under on the event's par threes and was 6-under on par fives.
The honor is the first of Leach's career, while teammate Hunter Eichhorn has earned the accolade twice this season, including most recently after winning the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills on Oct. 6-8.
Leach and Eichhorn have combined for three tournament wins this season and six top-10 finishes.
