Gardner continues to dominate league

Davante Gardner (6'8''-PF-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Japan) led Niigata Albirex to a victory over the fourth-ranked Osaka Evessa (18-31) 92-84 in the Japanese B League in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Gardner recorded 37 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in 40 minutes. Niigata Albirex (35-14) is placed first in Central group. He averages 27.2 ppg, 10.8 rpg and 4.0 apg in 49 games he played so far.Â
Travis Diener (6'1''-PG-82, graduated '05, plays pro in Italy) contributed to a Vanoli Basket Cremona's victory against the league leader Armani Milano (18-5) 76-72 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Diener scored 11 points and added 8 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Vanoli Basket Cremona (15-8) is placed third in the Serie A. This season Diener averages 8.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 3.9 apg.
Trent Lockett (6'5''-G-90, graduated '13, plays in Russia) helped his Russian team Unics Kazan win their game against the tenth-ranked VEF Riga (8-15) crushing them 82-52 in the VTB United League last Sunday. He scored 9 points and added 4 assists in 26 minutes. Unics Kazan (16-4) is placed second in the VTB United League. This year Lockett averages 7.4 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 2.3 apg in 18 games.Â
Derrick Wilson (6'1''-PG-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Denmark) was not able to secure a victory for Svendborg (13-11) in their last game. Despite Wilson's very good performance the fourth-placed Svendborg lost 88-95 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#5) Randers in the ProA group. He was the top scorer with 24 points. Wilson also added 9 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 36 minutes. Wilson has very impressive stats this year 16.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.5 apg and 2.8 spg in 11 games.Â
Jerel McNeal (6'3''-G-87, graduated '09, plays pro in Israel) couldn't help Hapoel SP Tel-Aviv (9-14) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance Hapoel SP Tel-Aviv was defeated 85-76 in Eilat by the higher-ranked Hapoel (#4). McNeal was the second-best scorer with 15 points. He also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. McNeal is averaging 12.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.9 apg and 2.0 spg.Â
