
Natisha Hiedeman Selected 18th Overall in 2019 WNBA Draft

The graduating senior is the third player in Marquette history to be drafted
NEW YORK-- Marquette senior Natisha Hiedeman was selected as the 18th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft on Wednesday night becoming the third player in program histroy to be drafted.
The Green Bay, Wis. native was picked by the Minnesota Lynx, but later traded to the Connecticut Sun. Hiedeman joins Abbie Willenborg (2000, Houston Comets) and Angel Robinson (2011, New York Liberty) as the only Golden Eagles to be drafted by the WNBA and at 18th overall is the highest pick in program history as well as the highest pick in the BIG EAST since conference realignment.Â

Hiedeman closes her Marquette career as an honorable mention WBCA All-American and AP All-America honorable mention, and was the unanimous 2019 BIG EAST Player of the Year after averaging 17.6 points per game. She is Marquette's all-time leader in thee-point field goals made with 301 and third on the all-time scoring list with 1,913 career points.
