Hiedeman Selected to Women’s 3-Point Championship Roster for the 2019 State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships

CHICAGO – Marquette guard Natisha Hiedeman has been selected to the Women's 3-Point Championship roster for the 31st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Minneapolis' Target Center on Thursday, April 4, Intersport announced today. Hiedeman is one of eight women's college basketball players selected for the event that will air live on ESPN at 8 p.m. CT. She was invited to take part in the Women's 3-Point Championship after being recognized as one of the nation's finest shooters from 3-point territory.

Hiedeman was the unanimous pick for 2019 BIG EAST Player of the Year, a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection and was selected as an AP All-America Honorable Mention. The Green Bay, Wis. Native finished her Marquette career with 1,913 career points, ranking third all-time, while owning the record for three-pointers made with 301. In her final season, Hiedeman led the Golden Eagles with 17.6 points per game.

Intersport, producers of the event, invites 24 of the nation's elite men's and women's college basketball players to compete in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships (eight dunkers, along with eight men's and eight women's shooters). The program showcases the dunking and sharp-shooting talents of the nation's top college basketball players during the Men's and Women's 3-Point Shooting Championships, the Reese's Puffs Battle of the Champions, the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship and the Applebee's Team Shootout.

A complete roster of participants will be released at a later date.

Over the last 30 years, several of the top players in college basketball have competed in the College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships including: Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason Terry, Kyle Korver, Bobby Hurley, Michael Finley, Allan Houston, Wesley Matthews, Yogi Ferrell, Cappie Pondexter, Katie Gearlds, Kristi Toliver, Tiffany Hayes and Ariel Atkins.
