Marquette's Henry is the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

The senior earned her 20th career clean sheet in the double OT win over Michigan
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University senior goalkeeper Maddy Henry is the BIG EAST Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, while junior Kylie Sprecher was named to the women's soccer weekly honor roll, it was announced on Monday morning.
The pair helped the Golden Eagles to a 1-1 week, which included a double overtime victory on Sunday afternoon over Michigan on Sprecher's golden goal. Henry tied a season-best with 10 saves in the win and posted her 20th career shutout in 108 minutes against the Wolverines. She played 92:04 against Wisconsin on Thursday before allowing the winner to UW's Lauren Rice.
For the week, Henry posted 15 saves, a 0.45 goals-against average and a save percentage of .938 in overtime contests against a pair of Big Ten squads. It is the fourth BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honor of her career and the first since 2017 – she earned a total of five weekly accolades as a sophomore in 2017.
Sprecher's honor is the first since her freshman season in 2017.
The Golden Eagles face another Big Ten squad on Thursday, Sept. 5 with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Minnesota.
