Women's Tennis Travels to IU Winter Invitational

Spring campaign begins Saturday, Jan. 18
MILWAUKEE-Â The Marquette women's tennis team travels to Bloomington, Ind. for the three-day Indiana Winter Invitational hosted by Indiana University this weekend. This trip marks the beginning of MU's spring campaign and the team's first competition since early November.

The Golden Eagles hope to pick up right where they left off in the fall after the squad picked up 11 of 13 possible wins in the Louisville Tennis Classic, the last matchup of 2019. MU bested Louisville in doubles, 2-1 as Fleur Eggink and Milica Novakovic provided 6-2 win, while Natalija Popovic and Giula Turconi fought for a 7-5 victory. The team also swept Michigan State, 3-0 in doubles.

In addition to the Golden Eagles, Indiana will host Marshall, Northern Illinois, Wright State, and DePaul.
