Marquette University women's soccer players have scattered across the country since graduation. This Alumni Spotlight feature provides personal and professional updates on the student-athletes who represented the University on the field and continue to be ambassadors.
Taylor Madigan was an offensive force for the women's soccer program, compiling 27 goals and 67 points in her four-year career, good for fourth place on both career lists. During her tenure, Marquette went 70-15-6 and lost just one BIG EAST Conference regular season match (39-1-1). The Golden Eagles won division titles each season, claimed a pair of BIG EAST tournament crowns, appeared in four NCAA Championships and advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 on two occasions.Â
Current Location:Â Madison, Wisconsin
Employer/Profession:Â
Currently, I work as a tax senior associate at Baker Tilly.  I am a valued business advisor for various businesses. I have long busy season hours but with that comes a flexible off season.Â
What I remember best about Marquette:Â Â
Being one of the top ten teams in the nation. With that we won championships and made it to NCAA Sweet Sixteens. Our team was so competitive and willing to work for each other it all paid off. The team was made up of all different talented gals and we became a family. To this day we still support each other in life. I am so lucky that I was able to play for such a successful team, represent Marquette, and the friendships along the way. Ultimately, created the best memories that I will never forget.Â
Â
Also, freshman year...I think the senior class was a little disappointed in our freshman class - loosing Nugget, leaving equipment behind, running late, and a number of other things, BUT we learned a lot and learned quickly from the players and coaches.  All things we can laugh back on, but yikes to the extra sprints.Â
Fun Fact:Â Â
I was the worst at the pro agility sprint test and dead lifts. Sorry Todd Smith.Â
Â
Coach Pelaez on Madigan:
"Taylor was a fierce competitor! Along with her tremendous skill with the ball, she commanded the field."
