McClelland is BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week

The honor is the second of McClelland's career
MILWAUKEE – Senior midfielder Connor McClelland of the Marquette University men's lacrosse team was named the BIG EAST Conference Midfielder of the Week for the second time in his career on Monday afternoon.
The Brampton, Ontario native recorded seven points on five goals and a pair of assists in a 2-0 start to the season. He posted a career- and game-high six points on four goals and two assists in an 11-10 win over Bellarmine on Saturday. He also picked up three ground balls against the Knights and scored one goal in the season opener at Cleveland State on Feb. 1.
McClelland previously earned the league's midfielder of the week on Feb. 19, 2018 after helping the Golden Eagles to a victory over Jacksonville with four goals in a season-opening overtime win.
Marquette continues action at home on Saturday, Feb. 15 against Jacksonville at noon Central time.
