Golden Eagles Alumni Team Returns To 2020 TBT

Marquette earns event's No. 4 seed, first round bye

The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on ESPN networks – today revealed that Golden Eagles, the Marquette University alumni team, has been admitted into TBT's 24-team field. All TBT games this summer will be played under quarantine at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, from July 4-14.
Last summer, the Golden Eagles made it to the championship game and lost to Carmen's Crew (Ohio State alumni), the furthest run the team has ever had in TBT. This summer's TBT will mark the fifth straight year Golden Eagles have competed in the event.
Golden Eagles is organized by general manager Dan Fitzgerald, who played at Marquette from 2005-2008. Joe Chapman (2003-2006) will be serving as the team's head coach for the third straight summer.
Their roster includes:
TBT's opening round will take place from July 4-5. The quarterfinals will be held on July 10 and July 11 with the semifinals on July 12. The 2020 TBT Championship Game will be played on July 14, when one player will hit a shot to win his team $1 million.
