Men’s golf claims GCAA Team Academic honors

The Golden Eagles have earned the honor each of the last nine years
NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced that the Marquette University men's golf team has earned the GCAA Team Academic Award for the ninth time in as many years.
The Golden Eagles finished the year with a team grade-point average of 3.67, led by senior Matthew Bachmann's 4.00 in the fall and 3.95 spring GPA. Bachmann and Tyler Leach each earned Division I Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar recognition in June.
A total of 250 schools submitted GPA's of 3.0 or above, with 95 of those schools earning Presidents Special Recognition Honors, finishing with a team GPA of 3.5 and above.
To be eligible for GCAA Outstanding Team Academic honors a college or university must submit GPAs for each player on their official squad list for the academic year.
Marquette has earned the team academic honor every year since 2011-12.
