The Marquette University men's basketball team (9-9, 5-7 BIG EAST) wraps up a three-game homestand on Saturday, Feb. 6 when the squad welcomes No. 15/12 Creighton (13-5, 9-4 BIG EAST) to Fiserv Forum for a 4 pm. CT opening tip.  FOX will feature the television broadcast, with Tim Brando (play-by-play) and Nick Bahe (analyst) calling the action.  Following Saturday's outing, the Golden Eagles will open a five-game road swing at No. 3/3 Villanova on Feb. 10.

Prior to 2013-14 when the Bluejays joined the BIG EAST, the most recent meeting between the two programs came in the 1998 National Invitation Tournament. Â MU posted an 80-68 victory in the opening round at the BMO Harris Bradley Center en route to an appearance in the event's quarterfinals.

The Golden Eagles claimed an 89-84 win at No. 9/9 Creighton on Dec. 14 in the league opener for both teams. Guard D.J. Carton led five players in double figures with 20 points.Â
Marquette Holds Of Butler In Win

Marquette led by as many as 18 points in the second half on Tuesday night against Butler before hanging on for a 70-67 victory at Fiserv Forum.

Guards D.J. Carton and Koby McEwen each scored 18 points to lead four players in double figures and Marquette finished 61.5 percent (24-of-39) from the floor.  The team's shooting effort marked its first above 60.0 percent in just over four years.  MU knocked down 60.0 percent of its field goals against Creighton on Jan. 21, 2017.

The Golden Eagles were without the services of Justin Lewis for the second-straight game because of a leg injury and the team also battled foul trouble, with both Theo John and Dawson Garcia fouling out.
