Hunter Eichhorn named PING All-Midwest Region

The honor is the fourth of Eichhorn's Marquette career
NORMAN, Oklahoma – Marquette University redshirt junior Hunter Eichhorn earned the fourth all-region honor of his career when the Golf Coaches Association of America announced its annual Division I PING All-Midwest Region Team.
Eichhorn made his third NCAA regional appearance in Kingston Springs, Tennessee in May after being named the 2021 BIG EAST Men's Golf Player of the Year. He earned the second medalist honor of his career at the 2021 BIG EAST Championship and led Marquette at its last five events with a trio of top-five finishes and 11 rounds of par-or-better. His BIG EAST crown was his fifth tournament win overall.
The Carney, Michigan native is Marquette's all-time leader in scoring average and sits second in career rounds of par-or-better and finish percentage. He is also third all-time at MU in wins.
Eichhorn and teammate Tyler Leach each earned all-region honors last year and Eichhorn is the only golfer in Marquette history to earn all-region recognition on four separate occasions.Â
