
Murray and Skrabak are Academic All-District

The pair advances to the Academic All-America ballot
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University women's volleyball players Carsen Murray and Carly Skrabak were named CSC Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) on Tuesday afternoon.
Murray boasts a 3.66 grade-point average in Marquette's College of Business Administration and majors in both innovation & entrepreneurship and marketing. She's set to graduate in December 2023 and is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection and member of the Dean's List. Murray is a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion subcommittee with Marquette's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and works as a LEAD 1 Facilitator and with the MAGIS Mentor Program in MU Athletics.
A unanimous All-BIG EAST selection, Murray is sixth nationally in hitting percentage (.427) to lead the BIG EAST. She also ranks second in the league in blocks per set (1.10) and earned weekly league recognition four times this season, including offensive player of the week honors on Nov. 14.
Skrabak boasts a 3.60 GPA as a human resource management and marketing major and is set to graduate from Marquette's College of Business Administration next month. She is a member of Marquette's SAAC and is on the executive board of MU's HRMO as its external relations and publicity coordinator. Skrabak is also a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection in each of her two previous years at MU.
The native of Franklin, Tennessee leads the Golden Eagles and ranks third in the BIG EAST in digs per set (4.57) as MU's libero. She has performed best in some of the biggest moments of the season for the Golden Eagles, notching 26 digs in the season-opening win at then-No. 11 Kentucky, 28 digs at then-No. 21 Creighton on Oct. 14 and her highest dig total of the season, 31, on Senior Night against Xavier.
Skrabak is a three-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and earned honor roll recognition on one other occasion.
