Marquette's Natalija Popovic went 2-0 in No. 1 singles for the Golden Eagles this past week. On Friday against Northern Illinois, Popovic earned a three-set victory over Erika Dimitriev, 6-4, 7-5, 7-5. The senior would then earn the clinching point of the match against Milwaukee, winning her singles match against Greta Carbone, 6-3, 7-6. Popovic now owns a record of 6-1 at the No. 1 singles slot this season.Ā Ā

The doubles team of Yesica de Lucas and Jayden Nielsen earned a pair of victories at the No. 1 doubles position last week. On Wednesday, the pair helped lead the team to a 7-0 win over St. Francis Brooklyn by winning their doubles match, 6-0. On Saturday against Maryland, the duo took down the previously undefeated No. 1 doubles team of Jojo Bach and Marta Perez Mur, 7-5.Ā

St. John's junior Axel Vila Antuna earns BIG EAST Male Singles Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. The junior notched another victory over an ITA ranked singles player, defeating No. 102 Michael Sun of Yale, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-4). The singles victory helped propel St. John's to a 5-2 win over the Bulldogs to close out a 3-0 week.Ā
