Golf tied for eighth after two rounds at Bash at the Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina – Graduate student Hunter Eichhorn shot a 3-under 139 (69-70) on Monday to lead the Marquette University men's golf team in the first two rounds of Bash at the Beach at Surf Golf & Beach Club.

Josh Robinson, who played as an individual, also finished the day at 3-under par (69-70--139).

Both golfers are tied for 11th, while the Golden Eagles are tied for eighth as a team with Rhode Island at 1-over 568, just one stroke behind Delaware and four behind Rider. Tyler Leach also finished under par, finishing tied for 26th after posting a 141 (72-69).

In total, the Golden Eagles combined for 47 birdies. Bhoom Sima-aree also notched an eagle on fifth hole in the second round.

After shooting 2-under par in the first round, Robinson got off to hot start in the second, tallying birdies in four of the first seven holes. Aidan Laffery also put forth a strong round, collecting all four of his birdies on the day.

Lafferty is tied with Nicolas Evangelio and Patrick Adler at 46th thanks to a 3-over 142. Max Lyons sits just a stroke ahead, making him tied for 43rd.
