O'Grady named to the USILA Team of the Week

O'Grady is the fifth MU player to ever earn the honor

LOUISVILLE – Freshman attackman Bobby O'Grady is the fifth Marquette University men's lacrosse player to earn recognition on the USILA Team of the Week, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced on Tuesday afternoon.
O'Grady scored a career-high eight goals, the most ever for a BIG EAST freshman, as MU defeated St. John's on Saturday, 23-13. His goal total is the highest single-game mark in MU history and his point total of eight ties the MU record set by Tyler Melnyk in 2014.
The native of Milton, Massachusetts leads MU with 34 goals and 38 points this season and is second in the BIG EAST in goals per game with 3.40 per contest.
The other four MU players to have earned USILA Team of the Week recognition are John Wagner (March 27, 2018), Mason Woodward (Feb. 4, 2020), Connor McClelland (Feb. 11, 2020) and Sean Richard (April 20, 2021).
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Central time at Valley Fields against No. 10 Notre Dame. They then travel to Washington, D.C. this weekend for a Saturday clash with No. 2 Georgetown.
