Eichhorn earns his fourth weekly honor this season heading into next week's BIG EAST tournament

NEW YORK – Marquette University graduate student Hunter Eichhorn was honored on Wednesday as the BIG EAST Conference Male Golfer of the Week for his play at the Wildcat Spring Invitational on April 18-19 where he earned medalist honors.
Eichhorn entered the final round of the 36-hole event at 2-under in second place, tied with Delaware's Sahasawat Ariyachatvakin after shooting an opening-round 68 on Monday. The Carney, Michigan native notched five birdies in his second round to win the event by one stroke over Ariyachatvakin. He posted a 3-under 137 (68-69) for the tournament.
He rolls into next week's conference championship with rounds of par-or-better in 22 of the 29 rounds he's competed in this year and five top-10 finishes.
The two-time BIG EAST Player of the Year and medalist has now earned 11 BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week honors in his career.
Eichhorn and the Golden Eagles begin action in the 2022 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship Presented by JEEP on April 25 at Mountain View Course at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
