
LaMotte Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Graduate attacker led Golden Eagles in points during 1-1 week
NEW YORK — Following her performances in a 1-1 week for the Marquette women's lacrosse team last week, graduate attacker Kyra LaMotte was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. The Winnetka, Illinois, native led all MU players in the team's 14-12 win over Georgetown with four goals. She also registered a goal and an assist in the team's loss to No. 18 Notre Dame. This is LaMotte's second weekly honor of the year from the league.
BIG EAST Attacker of the Week
Grace Coon, Connecticut, Sr., A
In a 2-0 week for the 14th-ranked Huskies, Coon totaled a league-high 10 goals. The senior began the stretch with a career-high seven goals as UConn knocked off then-25th-ranked Yale on Wednesday on the road. She followed that with a hat trick and assist in Saturday's BIG EAST win over Butler – one of her goals proved to be the game winner. She tallied a ground ball and draw control in each contest as well, while also not committing a single turnover.
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Sydney Watson, Connecticut, Sr., M
Watson led the BIG EAST with 16 points last week, tallying nine goals and seven assists in wins over then-No. 25 Yale and Butler. The senior also posted a BIG EAST-best 21 draw controls. In Wednesday's win at Yale, Watson went for four goals, three assists, 13 draw controls and a ground ball. In Saturday's home win over Butler, the senior tallied five goals, four assists, eight draw controls and three ground balls.
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Kailee Lammers, Denver, Sr., D
Lammers led the 10th-ranked Pioneers defensively in a 16-8 win at Villanova on Saturday. It marked the 11th time this season Denver limited its opponent to single-digit goals. Lammers was credited with four caused turnovers while also going for a career-high six draw controls. She added three ground balls. The Pioneers outshot the Wildcats 36-22, including 26-15 on goal, while clinching at least a share of their third consecutive BIG EAST regular-season title.

Mollie Estepp, Denver, Fr., M
Estepp came off the bench to score two goals in Saturday's win at Villanova. The freshman started a decisive 8-0 Pioneer run which spanned the second and third periods. Tied 5-5 late in the first half, Estepp scored two of Denver's next three goals as the Pioneers pulled away and went on to clinch at least a share of the BIG EAST regular-season title. Estepp's multi-goal game was the second of her career. She also added a caused turnover.
