MILWAUKEE - Marquette University head women's volleyball coach Ryan Theis has announced the addition of Lake Country Lutheran High School's Adriana Studer for the fall of 2022.
Studer will join the Golden Eagles over the summer and have four years of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited with Adriana as a bit of a late addition to our 2022 signing class," Theis said. "She is very skilled with her ball control abilities and has a lot of high-level experience. I believe she will make our gym better on day one."Â
Studer was a four-year varsity starter at Lake Country Lutheran and was a division 3 first team all-state selection as a senior in 2021 while leading the Lightning to a state runner-up finish. She was also named to the all-tournament team during the state event and was a first team all-conference selection. She led the Lightning to four conference and three regional titles during her time at Lutheran and was a member of the Wisconsin state championship-winning squad as a freshman in 2018.
During her high school career, she amassed 308 service aces and 1,420 digs while making 1,612 serve receptions. Studer served as team captain as a senior and led her conference in service aces as both a junior and senior.
The native of Hartland, Wisconsin was named to PrepVolleyball's Frosh 59 and Soph 79 lists and was a three-year member of the USA Volleyball A-1 Team. She has also played club volleyball for 10 years with Milwaukee Sting.
Studer joins a Marquette squad along with four other incoming freshmen for the fall and is the lone incoming defensive specialist. Ella Holmstrom, Natalie Ring, Sienna Ifill and Morgan Daugherty were announced as high school signees in December, while transfers Yadhira Anchante and Aubrey Hamilton joined the Golden Eagles for the spring semester.
The Golden Eagles are coming off their 10th NCAA tournament appearance and a 26-6 overall record in 2021.
