
WLAX Has 13 Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Golden Eagles named a 20222 Academic Honor Squad
NORTHBOROUGH, Massachusetts – The Marquette University women's lacrosse team was honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Wednesday as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, while 13 student-athletes garnered recognition on the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
The IWLCA named 326 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
The organization also honored 1,013 student-athletes from 106 different institutions on the 2022Â IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.Â
Marquette is one of four BIG EAST teams to be named an Academic Honor Squad. MU's 13 Academic Honor Roll members are tied with UConn for the most in the league.Â
