Joey Artinian will serve as director of ops, while Will Roberts is volunteer assistant coach
Artinian rejoins the staff after four years as an undergraduate manager, while Roberts held a similar role to his current one for the last two seasons at Holy Cross.
In his role, Artinian will manage the day-to-day operations of the team, as well as travel logistics for the season. He also oversees the student managerial staff and works with the program's budget. He joined the Indianapolis Colts equipment staff as a seasonal intern upon graduation before returning back to Marquette in the fall.
Artinian was a team manager all four years of his undergraduate career at MU and graduated in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in history and a sociology minor.
"We are thrilled to welcome Joey back to Marquette in this new role," Stimmel said. "Over the years, he has been an incredible manager who has always gone above and beyond to make our student-athlete experience first class. His passion for Marquette Athletics is apparent in his drive to make our program the best it can be. We're looking forward to having Joey back in Milwaukee."
Roberts comes to Marquette after two seasons at Holy Cross and one as the director of operations for the Lafayette men's lacrosse program. At Lafayette, Roberts handled alumni relations, social media, special events, on-campus recruiting, camps and clinics, team logistics and analytics for games and practice.
Prior to his time at Lafayette, Roberts worked as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at his alma mater, Clark University. Roberts was a four-year member of the Clark University lacrosse team and served as team captain as a senior.
"We are very fortunate to have Will Roberts on our staff," Stimmel said. "Over the last few years, he has built a great reputation for his work ethic, competitiveness and his ability to develop players across different position groups. In a short time, he's already had a positive impact on our program. We are thrilled to welcome Coach Roberts to Marquette."
