Marquette Intercollegiate to be held on Oct. 2-3
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Country Club will play host to the Marquette University men's golf team's annual home event, the Marquette Intercollegiate on Oct. 2-3.
The MU program will welcome 15 teams – Auburn, Cal Poly, Charlotte, Howard, Iowa State, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers, South Florida, UC Davis and Wisconsin - to one of the top courses in the United States. Milwaukee C.C. was rated 70th in Golf Digest's Top 100 U.S. Golf Courses for 2021-22. Admission is free to the 54-hole event, which includes 36 holes on Sunday.
"We are extremely fortunate to host our home event at Milwaukee Country Club," said Marquette head coach Stephen Bailey. "This iconic venue will provide a memorable experience while proving to be a stern test for some of the top players in college golf."
Championship play on the course is par 70 at 7,101 yards. Milwaukee Country Club was established in 1894 and the current course layout was set in 1927.
The Marquette Intercollegiate returns to Milwaukee C.C. for the first time since 2016. The previous four iterations of the Marquette Intercollegiate have been held at Erin Hills.
