The Golden Eagles to open play on the road at Drake

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University men's tennis team will open the 2023 campaign on Friday, Jan. 20 as the Golden Eagles travel to Des Moines, Iowa to take on Drake.

Match is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. CT.

The Marquette tennis program will play 2023 home matches at North Shore - Elite Sports Club due to renovations to Helfaer Tennis Stadium which is set to be complete by the end of 2024.

The Golden Eagles have a number of freshmen joining the roster, Gui Da Matta, Thomas Nelson, Blake Roegner, and Zino Varouhas-Pool. In addition, MU also returns four seniors, Nathan Balthazor, Rami Scheetz, Will Tennison, and All-BIG EAST First Team honoree Stefan Dragovic.

Marquette will play its first home match on Saturday, Jan. 28 when they host the Flyers of the University of Dayton.
