The No. 3/3 Marquette University men's basketball team (6-1, 0-0 BIG EAST) continues its non-conference schedule at Wisconsin (5-2, 0-0 Big Ten) on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11:30 a.m. in the Kohl Center. Â FOX features the television broadcast, with Tim Brando (play-by-play) and Bill Raftery (analyst) calling the action. Â Following Saturday's outing, the Golden Eagles will return home to host No. 16/18 Texas, Marquette's fourth top-25 opponent, on Wednesday, Dec. 6 in the BIG EAST/Big 12 Battle. Â Â Â Â
Series With Badgers Dates Back To 1917

MU's defense found its stride in the second half, however, holding Southern to just 27.6 percent from the floor and a 1-of-12 effort from long distance. Â The Golden Eagles turned 22 Jaguar turnovers into 38 points.

Offensively, guard Tyler Kolek led five players in double figures with 16 points and guard Stevie Mitchell chipped in a season-high 11 points. Â Forward Ben Gold played 22 minutes, the most of any player to see action.

Marquette forced a season-high 22 turnovers in the win over Southern and committed just six miscues of its own to continue a season-long trend.

Marquette has forced 10-or-more turnovers in each of the seven outings this season, while reaching that mark just once (12, Kansas) on its own. Â MU has converted those miscues into an average of 20.0 points per outing.
