Marotta Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Senior forward honored by the league for second-straight week
NEW YORK — For the second-straight week and the sixth time this season, Marquette senior forward Chloe Marotta was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. In a 2-0 week for the Golden Eagles, Marotta put together a pair of stellar performances to average 20.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting an efficient 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the floor. At Providence, she went for a game-high 26 points and nine boards. She then posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds to go along with four assists against St. John's.Â

Aneesah Morrow, DePaul, So., FÂ
Morrow was the BIG EAST's No. 2 scorer and No. 1 rebounder last week, averaging 27.0 points and 17.0 rebounds. The sophomore tallied three straight double-doubles and eclipsed the 20-point mark in all three games, highlighted by a 31-point, 22-rebound outing in Saturday's win at Providence. The 22 rebounds are the most by a BIG EAST player this season and 14th-highest among all Division I players this year. The three straight double-doubles bring her season total to 22 to rank third in Division I. DePaul faced Seton Hall on Monday and Wednesday last week, with Morrow putting up 22 points, 14 boards on Monday and 28 points, 15 rebounds on Wednesday. She also added 3.7 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. She is currently fourth nationally in scoring (25.5) and seventh in rebounding (12.1) this season.Â
