Liza Karlen Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Junior forward averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game last week

NEW YORK — Following her performance in a 2-1 showing for Marquette last week, forward Liza Karlen has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. The junior had three strong performances, averaging 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game on the week. In the team's win over DePaul in the season finale, she led the team with 26 points and 14 rebounds, while also recording three assists, two blocks and three steals. At Xavier she had 15 points and eight boards. On the week, she shot an efficient 53.7 percent (22-of-41) from the floor.

This was Karlen's fifth career Weekly Honor Roll appearance, and her first of this season.
