Four WLAX Players Earn All-Region Honors

Schumar and Foust on first team, Blee and Henry on second team
Mary Schumar | All-West/Midwest Region First Team
A senior attacker from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Schumar is the nation's top facilitator this season with 3.83 assists per game, a mark which ranks fifth in NCAA history. She has shattered several program records, including assists (69) and points (89) in a season, breaking the records she set last season in both categories. With 4.94 points per game, Schumar leads the BIG EAST and ranks ninth nationally. She was also a member of the All-BIG EAST First Team.Â
Lydia Foust |Â All-West/Midwest Region First Team
A senior midfielder from Redwood City, California, Foust has helped propel Marquette to a historic season as the leading scorer on one of the nation's top scoring offenses. She has totaled 58 goals and 73 points this season. Her 58 goals lead the BIG EAST and rank 15th nationally, and she is just one goal shy of tying the Marquette all-time regular season scoring record. Foust was a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team, and was named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year.Â
Mary Blee | All-West/Midwest Region Second Team
A senior draw control specialist from Howard County, Maryland, Blee has been the top draw taker for a Marquette team that ranks second in the NCAA in draw controls per game. As a team, the Golden Eagles average 18.28 draws per outing, a mark which ranks eighth in NCAA history. Individually, Blee ranks fifth in the BIG EAST with 5.22 draw controls per contest.Â
Ellie Henry | All-West/Midwest Region Second Team
A senior defender from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Henry serves as MU's defensive anchor, and is a crucial piece of one of the nation's top draw teams. She leads the team and ranks third in the BIG EAST with 5.9 draws per game, while as a team the Golden Eagles average 18.28 draw controls per game, eighth in NCAA history. She also leads the team in caused turnovers (22) and ranks second in ground balls (35). Henry was selected as a member of the All-BIG EAST First Team earlier this season.Â
