Golf Earns No. 10 Seed in Auburn Regional

MU earns first regional selection since 2019
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's golf team will make its fifth NCAA Men's Golf Championship regional appearance, playing in the Auburn, Alabama Regional hosted by Auburn at Auburn University Club May 15-17.
The Golden Eagles earned a No. 10 seed out of 13 teams. MU earned an automatic bid for winning the 2023 BIG EAST Championship. The Golden Eagles won the conference championship by three-strokes over St. John's. Bhoom Sima-Aree shot a 3-under par 213 (73-68-72) to lead MU and earn co-medalist honors.Â
The top five teams from each of the six NCAA regional sites, plus the top individual player from a non-advancing team, will play in the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona May 26-31.
Marquette's last regional appearance was in 2019 in Austin, Texas. Marquette placed eighth out of 14 teams for its best regional finish.
Mike Van Sickle is MU's top individual performer in the program's history, finishing 17th at the 2007 Central Regional.
