WBB Announces Addition of JUCO Transfer Abbey Cracknell

Cracknell joins MU from Gulf Coast State College
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University Women's basketball team and head coach Megan Duffy announced the addition of Abbey Cracknell, who joins the program as a junior college transfer.
"We are excited to officially announce our final addition to the 2023-24 roster," said Duffy. "Abbey will give us depth and can play multiple positions. She will bring a great work ethic and selfless winning nature to Marquette."
Cracknell, a 5-foot-11 forward from, Avoca Beach, Australia, joins the Golden Eagles after spending the last two seasons with Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida. Cracknell started in all 30 games last season, helping the Commodores to a 25-5 record (.833) and their first appearance in the NJCAA DI Women's National Tournament since 2019. She earned All-Panhandle First Team honors in 2022-23, averaging 11 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
In her two seasons at Gulf Coast State, Cracknell started in 57 of 59 games, scored 556 points, grabbed 280 boards, assisted on 104 baskets and added 84 steals. The Commodores went a combined 44-15 (.746) in those two seasons.
"We look forward to spending some time with Abbey on our foreign trip and getting her acclimated to Milwaukee," Duffy said. Â
