WSOC Hosts Senior Day Sunday At Valley Fields

Ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. CT
The Marquette University women's soccer team will honor the five members of its 2023 senior class prior to the squad's 1 p.m. CT matchup with St. Thomas on Sunday, Sept. 17.
The Senior Day ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. and Aeryn Kennedy, Katie Koker, Alexa Maletis, Mae Sinclair and Elsi Twombly will all be recognized for their respective contributions to both the program and the university.
The Golden Eagles will also honor Hailey Block, Isabella Cook, Mikki Easter and Josie Kelderman. The quartet of players was celebrated in 2022, but returned to the team this season.
Aeryn Kennedy has started all but one match in 2023 and has been a member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team during her time on campus. She will graduate in May with a degree in construction engineering and management, is a member of the Navy ROTC at Marquette and plans to serve as an officer in the U.S. Navy following graduation.
Katie Koker has appeared in over 40 career matches for the Golden Eagles, dating back to the 2018 campaign. A member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, she earned her bachelor's degree in business from the University of Minnesota and will complete work on her MBA, with honors, at Marquette this December. She is currently completing an internship in financial advising and plans to work in the field after graduation.
A four-year letterwinner and member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Alexa Maletis has appeared in nearly 40 career matches for Marquette and scored a pair of goals. She is on track to graduate, with honors, with a degree in exercise physiology this May and plans to complete her master's work in athletic training in 2025.
Alexa is escorted by her parents, Joelle and Pete, grandparents, Harlie and Frank, and brother, Marco.
A four-year letterwinner and member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Mae Sinclair has seen action in each of the last four seasons. She is a double major in elementary education and sociology, will student teach in the spring semester and plans to become an elementary school teacher in the fall of 2024.
Elsi Twombly has earned All-BIG EAST Second Team and BIG EAST All-Freshman Team accolades during her standout career. A four-year letterwinner and member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, she has netted 10 goals and assisted on nine other scores since the 2020-21 campaign. Elsi is majoring in advertising and minoring in marketing and is on track to graduate with honors this spring.
