Bray and Hamilton on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Marquette University outside hitter Aubrey Hamilton and middle blocker Hattie Bray have been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for women's volleyball, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
The pair helped the Golden Eagles to sweeps of Villanova and Georgetown and a 2-0 start to league play over the weekend.
Hamilton hit .600 in each match and led MU with a total of 25 kills (4.14 per set). She posted team highs of 13 kills against Villanova and 12 against the Hoyas on Saturday night. The native of Hartland, Wisconsin also added a total of seven digs, five blocks and an ace on the weekend.
Bray got off to a fast start in Friday's win over the Wildcats with five of her career-high 11 blocks in the opening set, and added a near double-double with nine kills in addition to three digs. Bray hit .471 (9-1-17) against Villanova and .333 (9-3-18) with one block in Saturday's win over Georgetown. In two matches she combined to hit .400 with 3.00 kills and 2.00 blocks per frame.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30 at UConn and will face Providence on Sunday in Rhode Island before returning home.
