Golden Eagles honored seniors before match
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's tennis team fell 4-3 to BIG EAST opponent Georgetown Saturday morning at Elite Sports Club - North Shore.
The Golden Eagles honored five members of the senior class ahead of the matchup against the Hoyas. The Blue and Gold's senior class included Sarah Badawi, Lara Kaiser, Emilija Kojcic, Andie Weise, and Tiana Windbuchler.
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point with a pair of wins at the No. 2 and 3 spots.
Weise continued a two-match win streak earned straight-set singles victory at No. 4 (6-2, 7-5).
Junior Tiera Jarmond helped the Golden Eagles tally three team points with a win at the No. 6 spot in three sets (6-4, 2-6, 6-3)
Georgetown went on to win the No. 1, 2, 3, 5 matches to take the team decision of 4-3.
UP NEXT: Marquette will travel to the east coast to take on Seton Hall, April 5 at 1:00 pm CT.
