BALTIMORE – Marquette University men's lacrosse defenseman Mason Woodward was named an Inside Lacrosse Third Team All-American, it was announced on Sunday evening.
Woodward is Marquette's only four-time team captain and was a unanimous choice to the All-BIG EAST Conference First Team at close defense in 2024. He ended his college career as MU's all-time leader with 265 career ground balls and ranks second in program history with 84 caused turnovers.
The native of Towson, Maryland paced MU in caused turnovers (18) for the fourth time in 2024, while picking up 53 ground balls and posting three points on a pair of goals and an assist.
Woodward was selected eighth overall in the first round of the 2024 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft by the Utah Archers last week and also earned All-America status from USA Lacrosse Magazine (honorable mention).
