Foster and Lawas named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Foster had five points and Lawas made 15 saves in win over Air Force

NEW YORK — Marquette University men's lacrosse men's lacrosse midfielder Will Foster and goalie Lucas Lawas are on the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
The pair led the Golden Eagles to a come-from-behind victory over Air Force, 9-8, on Saturday at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois.
Foster scored a pair of goals and added three assists for a five-point day in the win. He assisted on consecutive scores late in the third quarter as MU responded from a 7-4 deficit and scored the tying goal with 10:22 remaining.
Lawas stood strong in net to help the MU comeback effort by holding the Falcons scoreless in the final quarter with five saves. His nine second half saves helped MU overcome a three-goal deficit with 4:12 left in the third quarter. MU outscored AFA 5-1 over the final 19:12 due to Lawas' play in net.
The Golden Eagles begin league play on Saturday at the seasonal dome at Valley Fields against St. John's. The doubleheader with the MU women's team is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Central time with the men's opening faceoff.
