Parham leads with 20 points, James Jr. dishes out 10 assists
The Marquette University men's basketball team opened its summer trip to Vancouver with a 102-49 win over the Calgary Dinos on Wednesday afternoon.
The travel party will make stops in Vancouver and Whistler during the eight-day journey, playing a trio of games against Calgary (July 29), Trinity Western (July 30) and Fraser Valley (August 1).

Marquette's last foreign trip came in the summer of 2023 when the program visited Italy. A recent change in NCAA rules allows teams the opportunity to embark on a tour every year, rather than the previous cadence of every four seasons.

The Golden Eagles last visited Vancouver for a foreign tour in September of 2007.

Royce Parham led the way with 20 points and Adrien Stevens added 18 points as Marquette finished the game shooting 60.6 percent from the floor while holding Calgary to just 29.2 percent shooting. Newcomer Sananda Fru and Josh Clark grabbed six boards each and guard Nigel James Jr. dished out 10 assists as 12 different players saw action.
