All-BIG EAST (Outdoor 4x100)
Outdoor (Sr.): Represented MU in five meets … ran a personal best in the 100 meters at the Wisconsin Classic (May 6) with a time of 11.20 to finish fourth overall … Earned the bronze medal in the 4x100 at the BIG EAST Championships (May 13) with a team time of 41.25.
Indoor (Sr.): Appeared in five meets for the Golden Eagles competing in sprinting events … Ran a PR 6.60 in the 55 meters at the Parkside Classic (Feb. 4) and took second overall … Was part of the 4x400 team that finished second at the Parkside Classic with a time of 3:35.64 … Took 10th in the 60 meters at the BIG EAST Championships (Feb. 25) with a time of 7.14. A member of the 4x400 that scored a point at the conference championships after taking seventh with a time of 3:23.84.
2020-21:
BIG EAST All-Academic Team
Indoor (Sr.): Bendel competed in the 400 at one meet in 2021 and finished third in 52.27 seconds at the UW-Parkside Triangular.
Outdoor (Jr.): Competed in the 400 at the Marquette Invitational on May 1 and won the event at 51.34 seconds.
2019-20:
BIG EAST All Academic Team
Indoor (Jr.): Competed in four indoor meets ... Placed fifth in the 60-meter dash at the Blue & Gold Invitational (Dec. 6) with a time of 6.97 ... Set a personal record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.86 (No. 4 all-time at MU) ... Won the 400m at the Panther Tune-Up (Feb. 22) with a time of 51.21 ... Competed in the 60m and 200m at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships.
2018-19:
BIG EAST All-Academic
Indoor (So.): Competed in eight meets during his sophomore year... Started his season by winning events both the Parkside Fall Finale (4x400) and John Tierney Classic (400; 4x400)... Set a personal best in the 400 at the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 2 (49.93)... Set personal bests in both the 60 (7.03) and 200 (21.88) at the BIG EAST Championships to finish sixth and fourth, respectively.
Outdoor (So.): Competed in three meets... Took first place at the Marquette Mid-Week Challenge on April 24 with a personal best time of 50.03 in the 400.

Indoor (Fr.): Placed fourth (7.09) in the 60 hurdles and seventh (36.38) in the 300 hurdles at the John Tierney Classic ... Competed in the 400 hurdles (51.49) at the Jack Johnson Classic.
Prior to Marquette: Lettered in track and field at Xavier High School in Appleton, Wis. ... Served as captain during his junior and senior seasons ... Holds the school record in the 110 hurdles (15.25 seconds), 200 dash (22.03 seconds), 400 dash (48.76 seconds) and as a member of the 4x100 relay (43.40 seconds) ... Led team to a Division 2 state championship as a senior.
Personal: Bendel was born in Schenectady, N.Y. to Mike and Karen Bendel ... Has two siblings, Matthew and William .. Plans to study biomedical sciences.
