Outdoor (So.): Competed in two meets … Ran a personal best in the 400-meters with a time of 1:05.87 at the Redbird Invite (Apr. 1) … Achieved a PR in the 800-meters at the Warrior Invitational (Apr. 14) running a time of 2:41.63.
Indoor (So.): Appeared in four meets for MU … Ran a PR of 27.71 in the 200 at the Blue & Gold Invitational (Dec. 3) … Took ninth in the 300 meters at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite (Dec. 10) with a PR 43.68 … Set a PR in the 55 meters with a time of 7.97 at the Parkside Classic (Feb. 4) … Ran a personal best of 8.56 in the 60 meters at the St. Valentines Open (Feb. 18).
2020-21:
Outdoor (Fr.): Competed in four meets in the 200m … Season-best time (26.99) came at the Marquette Invitational (May 1).
Indoor (Fr.): Saw action in three meets in the 200m and 400m … Made collegiate debut at the UW-Parkside Triangular No. 1 (Feb. 6).
Prior to Marquette: Lettered four times each in track & field at Catholic Memorial High School under coach Christopher Andacht ... A two-time team captain (2019-20), Wedeward competed on her school's 2018 4x200-meter state championship relay team ... Her 4x100m relay team took fourth at state in 2018 ... She also competed on the 4x400m relay team that qualified for state in 2018 ... Her 4x200m relay team set the school record with a time of 1:43.13 ... Other PR's are 12.81 (100m), 25.22 (200m) and 59.48 (400m).
Personal: Wedeward was born on April 9, 2002 to Jackie and Tony Wedeward in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin ... She has one older brother, Ben ... Plans to study speech pathology at MU.
Why She Chose MU: "I chose Marquette because It felt like a community the second I stepped onto campus. I felt a connection with the track coaches and felt motivated after my official visit."
