Prior to Marquette: Lettered four times in track & field and twice in cross country at Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School under coach Lincoln Townsend Jr. ... She also played one year of high school volleyball and two of basketball before focusing on track as an upperclassman ... A multi-year captain on the track & field team, Brown-Carr helped her team win four straight Philadelphia Catholic Indoor and Outdoor league championships and district championships (2017-20) during her high school career ... Her team also took home PIAA State Indoor and Outdoor titles from 2017-20 as well ... Individually, she was named to the Philadelphia Catholic League All-League Team twice during her high school career ... She also helped her cross country team win the PIAA District 12 championship and qualify for state in 2019 ... Brown-Carr also earned state All-Academic honors as a senior in 2019-20 ... Personal: Brown-Carr was born on Feb. 15, 2002 in Philadelphia ... Her father Donnie played college basketball at LaSalle University and ranks as one of the program's all-time leading scorers ... He went on to play professionally in Europe for four seasons before retiring and is now an assistant basketball coach at LaSalle ... Brown-Carr has two half-brothers, Dymere and Kissan ... She plans to study psychology at MU.
Why She Chose MU: "After doing research on the university and having the pleasure of speaking with Coach Rogers, MU just seemed like the perfect fit. After being able to visit and get a tour from my dad's friend (MU basketball assistant coach Dwayne Killings), it felt like I was right at home when I visited. Marquette University seems very friendly and welcoming."
