Katie Simet is in her seventh year at Marquette University as an Assistant Director for Academic Services in the athletic department in 2017-18.
In her role, Simet is the academic advisor for the men's lacrosse, men's soccer and volleyball, as well as helping to provide all student-athletes with strategies to achieve academic success. In 2009-2012, she oversaw the NCAA alcohol CHOICES grant, providing alcohol programming to student-athletes and the Marquette student body. Simet oversees and supports the student-athlete leadership program for continuing students and the Student-Athlete STAR program in collaboration with the Office of Student Development. She also oversees tutoring.
Simet also currently serves as the university assessment coordinator for Student-Athlete Academic Support.
Prior to MU, Simet served as an assistant residence hall director at Seattle University and an elementary teacher in the Milwaukee area.
In 2006 she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and elementary education from Marquette University and master's degree of education in student development administration from Seattle University in 2010.
