The 2025-26 campaign will mark the second for Devon Mulry with the Marquette men’s basketball program as Director, Video & Analytics.
The Michigan native worked for two seasons (2019-21) at Texas under Shaka Smart as the director of player development. His duties included presentation of all team video sessions, advanced scouting and administration of the program’s video database.
In 2024-25, the Golden Eagles posted their third-straight 20-win season and participated in the NCAA tournament four the fourth-straight year. On the court, Kam Jones developed into a Consensus All-America selection, marking the third-straight year a Marquette player captured the accolade. MU also posted a standout season in the classroom, highlighted by a 3.28 team grade-point-average and Stevie Mitchell was named BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a CSC First Team Academic All-American.
The 2023-24 campaign was highlighted by the program’s 17th all-time appearance in the Sweet 16 and the team’s 56 victories (29-7, 27-10) were the most in school history in a two-year span. Back-to-back Consensus All-America selection Tyler Kolek, just the third ever at Marquette, highlighted the team’s individual recognition on the court. Off the court, the Golden Eagles collected another record-setting effort in the classroom as a team and both Oso Ighodaro (Second Team) and Stevie Mitchell (Third Team) were named CSC Academic All-Americans.
After his departure from Texas, Mulry worked as a basketball analyst for two years with HD Intelligence, focusing efforts on providing the latest analytical data to NCAA coaching staffs and working directly with eight programs, including Marquette.
Mulry came to Texas in August 2019 after serving as assistant coach and junior varsity head coach at Lake Superior State University (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) under head coach Steve Hettinga during the 2018-19 season.
Prior to his time at Lake Superior State, Mulry spent seven years with the University of Michigan men’s basketball program. He began as a student manager for two years before earning a promotion to the head manager position for his junior and senior years.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Michigan in 2015, Mulry served in the role as Graduate Operations Intern for the 2015-16 season. He helped manage day-to-day operations, including budget and scheduling, and was instrumental in organizing and staffing the John Beilein Basketball Camps held throughout the summer.
Mulry served as the program’s graduate assistant coach during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 season which included two Big Ten Tournament Championships and a Final Four appearance. In that role, he worked directly with head coach John Beilein and the assistant coaches to analyze game film, prepare scouting reports and game plans, and organize recruiting schedules.
He earned a Master of Management degree (2016) and a Master of Arts in Higher Education (2018) during his three years as a postgraduate student at the University of Michigan.
Devon and his wife, Stacey, are both from Caledonia, Michigan and reside in Milwaukee.
