Marquette 'M Club' Hall of Fame
Jerel McNeal
- Induction:
- 2018
- Class:
- 2009
Jerel McNeal stands alone in his mastery of both ends of the floor at Marquette.
McNeal graduated as the program's all-time scoring leader with 1,985 career points, and Marquette's leader in steals with 287. He held the scoring record for over 10 years until it was broken by Markus Howard in 2019.
McNeal also helped make a mark on program history, when his first career double-double came in Marquette's 94-79 win over UConn in the school's first-ever BIG EAST Conference game in 2006.
While part of Marquette's first four BIG EAST teams, McNeal never missed the NCAA tournament in his four years, which included three as a team captain.
An Associated Press Second Team All-American in 2009, McNeal was the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2007, as well as a four-time all-conference selection.
