Marquette Loses to Kent State & Buffalo

Kent, Ohio-The Marquette wrestling team (3-13) was defeated by Kent State 44-6 and the University at Buffalo 31-12 at Kent State's Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center on Friday night. The Golden Eagles are currently on an eight-match losing streak. Marquette's 157-pounder junior Neil Posmer (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) pinned Joe Charlton for MU's only lone victory in their match against the Golden Flashes. In their match against Buffalo, junior 125 pounder Dan Fell (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) defeated Charlie Voorhees 8-3, heavyweight George Flannick (Greendale, Wisc.,/PiusIX) pinned Charlie Mesa at the 4:23 mark and Posmer defeated Jacob Parlow 12-6. Posmer leads the team in victories with 20. Marquette is in action tommorrow when it hosts the Marquette Open II at the Marquette Gym at 10 a.m. (CT).
