Marquette Volleyball Team Falls To Loyola Marymount

Milwaukee -- The Marquette volleyball closed out its showing at the Hoosier Invitational on Saturday with a three-game loss to 20th-ranked Loyola Marymount. The Golden Eagles gave LMU a good test before coming out on the short end of a 11-15, 8-15, 13-15 outcome. The loss leaves MU's record at 1-10 heading into its C-USA opener at DePaul on Tuesday (Sept. 19).

Freshman Megan Markowski (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) led the Golden Eagles with 16 kills and 12 digs while junior Mehgan Devine (Harris, Minn.) and freshman Ann Lopata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) each registered 13 kills. Freshman setter Gemma Greer (Winfield, Ill.) finished the match with 49 assists.
