Marquette Women's Cross Team Ranked Nationally

Milwaukee -- The Marquette women's cross country team is tied with Boston University with a No. 23 national ranking in this week's Finish Lynx Cross Country Poll. The Golden Eagles are the lone C-USA Team to earn national recognition in the top 25 poll.
Holding down the top spot is Stanford with 291 points while Wisconsin is No. 2 with 287. Rounding out the top five is Kansas State (273 pts.), Colorado (271 pts.) and Georgetown (248 pts.).
MU is ranked third in the Great Lakes Region (38 pts.) behind Wisconsin and Michigan (ranked No. 14 nationally).
The voting panel consists of nine elected regional representatives and three at-large members of the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Marquette women's team takes part in the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 23) in Minneapolis.
