Grapplers Take Down Lawrence

Marquette Wrestling defeated top 20 Division III opponent Lawrence University in an exciting dual Thursday night. The Golden Eagles won 20-18.

Despite giving up 2 forfeits and missing nationally ranked Peter Butville (14-2 at 165), Marquette pulled the meet out by winning the last 3 matches wrestled. With the meet starting at 149, MU dropped behind 0-3 before winning 6 of the last 7 matches, including Mike Kratz' win over 2nd ranked and Wheaton champ Ross Mueller.

The Golden Eagles will celebrate Senior Night on Friday with a home match against Northwestern at 7 p.m.
