MILWAUKEE (AP) - Dwyane Wade scored 24 points as No. 18 Marquette won its ninth consecutive game, 70-58, over East Carolina on Wednesday night.
The Golden Eagles (20-3, 9-1 Conference USA) used a 21-6 run in the second half to improve to 13-0 at home this season.
Wade, the reigning conference player of the week, was 9-of-12 from the field, including 3-for-3 from 3-point range.
Cordell Henry added 16 points for Marquette, while Odartey Blankson finished with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Gabriel Mikulas and Kenyatta Brown each had 15 points for East Carolina (8-14, 2-8), which lost its 14th consecutive road game. The Pirates have also lost five of their last six games overall.
Marquette led 35-32 with 15:38 seconds left when it took control with a 10-2 run as East Carolina made just one field goal over the next 10:29.
Wade's dunk off an East Carolina turnover extended Marquette's lead to 45-34 with 13:23 remaining.
Moussa Badiane's field goal cut the deficit to 45-36 with 11:27 left, but that would be as close as the Pirates got.
A 3-pointer by Wade gave Marquette its biggest lead, 56-38, with 6:52 to go.
East Carolina cut the margin to 62-53 with 2:10 left, but Henry scored on Marquette's next possession to seal the victory.
