Men's Tennis Defeated, 5-2, by Charlotte

Milwaukee-- The Marquette men's tennis team lost its match against Charlotte, 5-2, this afternoon at the Conference USA Intraconference Tournament hosted by the University of South Florida in Tampa. The Golden Eagles are now 2-6.
Marquette came out to a quick lead as Raj Gill and Justin Holsen defeated David Bolin and Marlo Santoso, 8-6 to take the No. 1 doubles match. Troy Delmege and Ian Kawas followed suit and claimed the No. 2 doubles match, 8-6, over David Bolin and Jonathan Clark. Creighton Macy and Eigintas Vedrickas dropped the No. 3 doubles match, 8-6, to Lynas and Vencatachellum.
Gill took the No. 1 singles match, 6-4, 6-7 (10-8) over Arturo Aguirre.
Vedrickas lost the No. 2 singles match, 5-7, 6-4, (10-6) to Marlo Santosa.
In No. 3 singles, Delmege was defeated, 6-2, 6-2, by Clark.
The No. 4 singles match was claimed by David Bolin as he took Holsen, 6-3, 6-3.
Creighton Macy fell in the No. 5 singles match, 6-1, 6-1, to Boman.
Ian Kawas lost his No. 6 singles match, 7-6, 6-1, to Vencatachellum.
The men return to action on March 10 when they travel to Honolulu, Hawaii. The match begins at 2 p.m. HST.
