Marquette To Forgo Outdoor Opener

Due to the weather forecast for the weekend in West Lafayette, Ind. and how early in the outdoor season it is, track and field Head Coach Dave Uhrich has decided not to take the team to the Purdue Invitational this weekend.
A high chance of the meet being cancelled due to weather was Uhrich's main reasoning behinf the decision. Uhrich didn't want his outdoor season opener to be "dangerous or counterproductive" for his athletes.
Marquette's next meet is scheduled for April 5 at the Louisville Open in Louisville, Ky.
